On February 7, 2025, a delegation headed by Prof. Tetsuo Sawaragi (executive vice-president for research ethics, integrity, code of conduct, and international affairs), Prof. Eiji Nawata (director, ASEAN Center), and Prof. Shuji Hisano (Graduate School of Economics) visited the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) together with Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. During the visit, the delegates met with Executive Director Reynaldo V. Ebora and other DOST-PCAARRD staff members. After receiving an overview of DOST-PCAARRD and its educational support programs, the delegation discussed the potential for collaboration between DOST-PCAARRD and Kyoto University.
